  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries; about 8 oz)
  • 1 large banana, sliced (about 4 oz)
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (about 6 oz)
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, oat, or coconut; 4 oz)
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries, sliced banana, chia seeds, granola

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. If using fresh berries, wash and pat them dry. Slice the banana. Let frozen berries thaw for 2-3 minutes if your blender is less powerful.
  2. Add milk to the blender first, followed by Greek yogurt, banana, frozen mixed berries, honey or maple syrup (if using), and lemon juice.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on low, increasing to high, for 45-60 seconds until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
  4. Pause and taste. Adjust sweetness with more honey/maple syrup or tang with more lemon juice. Blend again briefly if needed.
  5. Pour into glasses or jars. Top with fresh berries, banana slices, chia seeds, or granola if desired.
  6. Enjoy immediately while cold and frosty. For on-the-go, use a thermal cup.

Notes

For a dairy-free or vegan version, use coconut or almond yogurt and non-dairy milk. Use frozen berries for a thick, frosty texture; add ice cubes if using fresh berries. Adjust sweetness and thickness to taste. Clean your blender immediately after use for easy cleanup. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours or freeze in ice cube trays for later blending.
