A whimsical recipe that combines the creamy, caramel-rich flavor of butterbeer with the fun of jello shots, perfect for Harry Potter-themed parties or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packets (14 g) unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cream soda
  • 1 cup (240 ml) butterscotch schnapps
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) vanilla vodka
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Gold sprinkles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, pour 1 cup (240 ml) of cream soda and sprinkle 2 packets (14 g) of unflavored gelatin over the top. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin fully dissolves, about 2-3 minutes. Do not let it boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 cup (240 ml) of butterscotch schnapps and 1/2 cup (120 ml) of vanilla vodka.
  4. Add 1/4 cup (60 ml) of heavy cream to the mixture and whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture into shot glasses or small cups, filling each about 3/4 of the way full.
  6. Refrigerate the shots for 2-4 hours, or until fully set.
  7. Before serving, top each shot with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of gold sprinkles.

Notes

[‘Allow the gelatin to bloom properly before heating to ensure smooth texture.’, ‘Avoid boiling the gelatin mixture as high heat can affect its ability to set.’, ‘Wait to add whipped cream and sprinkles until just before serving for the best presentation.’]
