Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon dry ranch dressing mix
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped or crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for topping)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Take crescent roll dough and cream cheese out of the fridge to soften. Shred or chop cooked chicken, crumble bacon, and slice green onions.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions. Stir until evenly mixed and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Open crescent roll cans and separate dough into 16 triangles. Lay them out on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Place about 1 tablespoon of chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up each triangle, starting at the wide end and tucking the point underneath.
  6. Optional: Mix melted butter with garlic powder and brush over the tops of the crescent rolls.
  7. Bake for 13-15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let bites cool for 2-3 minutes before serving. Serve warm for best texture.

Notes

Don’t overfill the dough to prevent bursting. Seal edges if needed. Use freshly cooked bacon for best flavor. Filling can be made ahead and refrigerated. For gluten-free, use GF crescent dough. Variations include vegetarian, buffalo-style, or breakfast versions. Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce for dipping.
