This easy, no-bake snack mix combines the nostalgic flavors of churros and snickerdoodles in a dangerously addictive puppy chow. Perfect for parties, movie nights, or gifting, it features crispy Chex cereal coated in buttery white chocolate and tossed in a double cinnamon-sugar blend.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 cups Rice Chex cereal (about 255g)
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips (about 255g)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (56g)
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar (150g)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed (50g)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Measure out 9 cups Rice Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and melted butter. Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted (about 60–90 seconds total). Stir in 1 teaspoon cinnamon and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the Rice Chex. Gently fold with a spatula until every piece is glossy and coated.
  4. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, remaining 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the coated cereal to a large zip-top bag or container. Add the cinnamon-sugar mix. Seal and shake vigorously until every piece is dusted.
  6. Spread the puppy chow out on the lined baking sheet to cool and set for about 15 minutes. Once cooled, break up any clusters and transfer to a serving bowl or airtight container.

Notes

For best results, use fresh cereal and sift your powdered sugar for a snowy finish. If the mix is sticky, chill in the fridge for 10 minutes. Easily adapt for dairy-free or gluten-free diets with simple swaps. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
