Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball pizza dough (homemade or store-bought, about 12 oz)
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour, for dusting
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for drizzle)
  • 2 tbsp milk (dairy or dairy-free, for drizzle)
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (for drizzle)
  • Mini chocolate chips (optional, for topping)
  • Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh berries (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  2. Lightly dust your work surface with flour. Roll out pizza dough to a 12-inch circle, about 1/4-inch thick. Let rest if dough springs back.
  3. Transfer rolled dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or preheated pizza stone. Pinch edges for a rustic look if desired.
  4. Melt butter in a small bowl (about 30 seconds in microwave). Stir until fully liquid.
  5. Brush melted butter evenly over the dough, including edges.
  6. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well blended.
  7. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture generously over buttered dough, covering to the edges.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until crust is golden and sugar is bubbling. Rotate halfway through for even baking. If using a stone, check after 10 minutes.
  9. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for extra caramelization. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  10. While pizza bakes, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth for the drizzle. Adjust thickness as needed.
  11. Let pizza cool for 2-3 minutes after baking. Drizzle vanilla glaze over top in zigzags. Add optional toppings like chocolate chips, nuts, or berries.
  12. Slice into 8 wedges and serve warm.

Notes

For gluten-free or vegan versions, use gluten-free dough and plant-based butter/milk. Broil briefly for caramelization but watch closely to prevent burning. Slice while warm for clean wedges. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 4 days. Freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in oven for best texture.
