A creamy, cinnamon-spiced apple pie dip paired with crunchy homemade cinnamon sugar chips, perfect for cozy fall snacking and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 large apple, peeled and finely chopped (Fuji or Honeycrisp preferred)
  • 8 small flour tortillas (or whole wheat)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Mix in the sour cream (or Greek yogurt), brown sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg. Beat until combined and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Gently stir in the finely chopped apple pieces, ensuring they are about ¼-inch pieces.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  5. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  6. Brush each tortilla lightly with melted butter on both sides, then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Cut each tortilla into 6-8 triangle chips using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
  8. Arrange chips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crisp and golden. Watch carefully to avoid burning.
  10. Let chips cool completely on the baking sheet to crisp up.
  11. Serve the apple pie dip chilled or at room temperature with the cinnamon sugar chips.

Notes

For gluten-free, use gluten-free wraps or rice crackers instead of tortillas. For dairy-free, substitute sour cream with coconut yogurt and cream cheese with vegan alternatives. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on chips after baking for a sweet-salty contrast. Store dip covered in fridge up to 3 days; chips in airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days.
