These crispy air fryer pork belly bites are perfectly crunchy on the outside and juicy inside, coated with a sweet and tangy honey glaze. Quick and easy to make, they are perfect for snacks, parties, or a flavorful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) skin-on pork belly, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons honey (preferably raw or wildflower)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork belly cubes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Season evenly with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place pork belly cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook for 15-18 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through.
  5. While pork cooks, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chili flakes (if using) in a small bowl.
  6. Transfer cooked pork belly bites to a mixing bowl. Drizzle honey glaze over and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

Pat pork belly dry to ensure crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to prevent steaming. Glaze after cooking to keep bites crispy. If bites are not crispy enough, air fry 2-3 more minutes without glaze before coating. For gluten-free, substitute soy sauce with tamari. For vegan glaze alternative, use maple syrup instead of honey.
