Crispy BLT Wraps Recipe with Zesty Secret Sauce

A quick and easy lunch wrap combining crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and a tangy zesty secret sauce, all wrapped in a warm tortilla. Perfect for busy days, picnics, or meal prep.

  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch)
  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced red onion (optional)
  • Zesty Secret Sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional add-ins: avocado slices, crispy pickles

Instructions

  1. Place bacon strips in a cold large skillet without overlapping. Turn heat to medium and cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping occasionally, until crispy and golden. Remove bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Reserve some bacon grease if desired.
  2. While bacon cooks, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.
  3. Wash and chop romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice tomato and onion if using.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 15–20 seconds until pliable but not hot.
  5. Lay a warm tortilla flat. Spread about 2 tablespoons of zesty secret sauce evenly over the center. Layer 2 slices of crispy bacon on top, then add romaine, tomato slices, and onion. Add optional avocado or pickles if desired.
  6. Fold the sides over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom up like a burrito.
  7. Optional: For extra crunch, place wraps seam-side down in a hot skillet with a little butter or oil. Press lightly and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  8. Slice wraps in half diagonally and serve immediately while crispy and fresh.

Notes

Drain bacon on paper towels to keep crispy. Warm tortillas gently to avoid tearing. Pat tomato slices dry if juicy to prevent sogginess. Assemble wraps just before eating for best texture. Optional skillet crisping adds a toasty shell. Substitute gluten-free tortillas and vegan mayo for dietary needs.
