A luxurious yet healthy breakfast bowl combining creamy Greek yogurt, fresh chocolate-covered strawberries, and optional toppings for a quick, protein-packed start to your day.

  • 1 cup (240 ml) Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 3 oz (85 g) dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp (15 g) chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pistachios, optional)
  • 1 tbsp (12 g) chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt with vanilla extract and honey or maple syrup. Stir gently until smooth and creamy, then chill in the fridge.
  2. Rinse strawberries under cold water, pat dry thoroughly, and hull them leaving the small caps for easier dipping.
  3. Chop dark chocolate into small pieces and melt using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
  4. Dip each strawberry by the stem into the melted chocolate, coating about 3/4 of the berry. Let excess chocolate drip off and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Refrigerate dipped strawberries for 15-20 minutes until chocolate hardens and snaps when bitten.
  6. Spoon chilled yogurt mixture into a bowl, arrange chocolate covered strawberries on top, and sprinkle with optional chopped nuts and chia seeds.
  7. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

Dry strawberries thoroughly before dipping to ensure chocolate sticks well. If chocolate thickens during dipping, gently rewarm it. Avoid dipping cold strawberries directly from the fridge. For dairy-free, use coconut or almond milk Greek-style yogurt and dairy-free chocolate. Chocolate can be milk, white, or ruby for variations. Assemble just before serving for best texture.
