A creamy, fruity, and chocolatey nice cream bowl combining homemade fruit ice cream with moist cake bits, perfect for Valentine’s Day or any indulgent occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 frozen ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or dairy-free coconut yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate cake, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam or fresh raspberries
  • Dark chocolate shavings or chips (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)
  • Edible rose petals (optional)

Instructions

  1. Remove the frozen strawberries and banana from the freezer and let them sit out for about 5 minutes to soften slightly.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the frozen strawberries, frozen banana slices, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Add a splash of almond milk or water if too thick.
  3. Transfer the nice cream into a mixing bowl. Gently fold in the crumbled chocolate cake and raspberry jam or fresh raspberries, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Scoop the nice cream mixture into serving bowls. Add optional toppings like dark chocolate shavings, fresh mint, or edible rose petals.
  5. Serve immediately for a soft texture or freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer scoop.
  6. If the nice cream is too icy or grainy, blend longer or add more yogurt. If too soft, freeze before serving. Add cake pieces just before serving to avoid sogginess.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries for creaminess. For vegan, use coconut yogurt and maple syrup. Use gluten-free cake for gluten-free version. Fold cake bits gently to keep texture. Chill serving bowls before serving to slow melting.
