These playful Rice Krispie Treat Pops shaped like R2-D2 feature a blue and white chocolate drizzle, making a quick, easy, and fun homemade dessert perfect for themed parties or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup blue candy melts or blue-tinted white chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • Popsicle sticks or lollipop sticks
  • Edible markers or food coloring pens (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine 3 tablespoons softened butter and 4 cups mini marshmallows. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second bursts, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted (about 2-3 minutes total).
  2. Immediately add 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Stir gently but thoroughly until every crisp is coated.
  3. Lightly grease your hands with butter or cooking spray. Take a handful of the mixture and shape it into a rounded dome or small cylinder about 2-3 inches tall. Insert a popsicle stick into the base. Place the pops on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat until all mixture is used (makes about 12-15 pops).
  4. Place the pops in the fridge for at least 20 minutes to firm up.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1 cup white chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
  6. In a separate bowl, melt 1/3 cup blue candy melts with 1 teaspoon coconut oil using the same method.
  7. Transfer each melted chocolate to a piping bag or zip-top bag and snip a tiny corner. Drizzle white chocolate over the pops in random patterns, then add blue drizzle to create R2-D2’s signature accents. Use edible markers to add small details once drizzle sets, if desired.
  8. Let the decorated pops sit at room temperature or chill briefly until the drizzle hardens (about 10 minutes). Serve immediately or store as described.

Notes

Grease hands well to prevent sticking. Microwave marshmallows in short bursts to avoid burning. Use coconut oil to thin chocolate drizzle for easier piping and shiny finish. Chill pops before decorating to prevent melting. Rewarm drizzle gently if it thickens. Store pops in airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days; avoid refrigeration to keep texture soft. For gluten-free, use certified gluten-free Rice Krispies. For dairy-free or vegan, substitute butter and marshmallows accordingly.
