Crispy chicken wings coated in a rich and savory garlic butter sauce, perfect for snacks, parties, or game day. Easy to make with simple ingredients and ready in under 40 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes (tip removed)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 45 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss them in a large bowl with olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Place a wire rack on a rimmed baking sheet and arrange wings in a single layer, skin side up.
  4. Bake the wings for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until skin is brown and juices run clear.
  5. While wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook gently for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Stir in fresh parsley, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes if using. Remove from heat.
  6. Transfer wings to a large bowl and pour the warm garlic butter sauce over them. Toss well to coat each wing.
  7. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with extra parsley.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil wings for 2-3 minutes after baking but watch closely to avoid burning. Use fresh garlic for best flavor and melt butter gently on low heat to prevent bitterness. Wings can be air fried at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes as an alternative cooking method.
