Juicy pork chops glazed with a tangy-sweet apple butter sauce, paired with Dijon mustard and honey for a balanced and irresistible flavor. Perfect for busy weeknights or elegant dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1-inch thick)
  • 1/4 cup apple butter
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the apple butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and minced garlic until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Add olive oil to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Place the pork chops in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Lower the heat to medium and add the glaze mixture to the skillet. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes to prevent sticking.
  6. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon the glaze over them, and let everything simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the pork is fully cooked (internal temperature of 145°F/63°C).
  7. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of chicken broth to thin it out. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs like parsley or thyme.

Notes

[‘Let the pork chops sit at room temperature before cooking for even results.’, ‘Keep stirring the glaze to avoid burning, as honey can caramelize quickly.’, ‘Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork is cooked to perfection without drying out.’, ‘Let the pork chops rest for a couple of minutes before serving to retain their juices.’]
