Tender chicken coated in a sweet, tangy honey mustard sauce, slow-cooked to perfection. Perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside while you prepare the sauce.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they’re fully coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. The chicken should be tender and easily shred with a fork.
  5. If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the chicken and stir in a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water). Cook on high for another 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Top the chicken with the sauce and serve warm over your favorite side dish.

Notes

[‘For extra flavor, sear the chicken in a hot skillet before adding it to the slow cooker.’, ‘You can substitute honey with agave syrup or maple syrup.’, ‘Add fresh rosemary to the slow cooker for an herby twist.’, ‘Avoid opening the slow cooker lid unnecessarily to ensure proper cooking.’]
