Instructions

  1. Toast the bread: Place 4 slices of your chosen bread into a toaster or toaster oven. Toast until golden brown and crisp, about 3-4 minutes depending on your appliance.
  2. Toast sesame seeds (optional): In a small dry skillet over medium heat, toast 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, stirring frequently, for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Prepare the everything seasoning blend: In a small bowl, combine toasted sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon poppy seeds, 1 tablespoon dried minced garlic, 1 tablespoon dried minced onion, 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt, and 1 teaspoon black pepper. Mix well.
  4. Mash the avocado: In a mixing bowl, scoop the flesh of 2 ripe avocados. Add 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice and a pinch of flaky sea salt. Mash with a fork to your preferred consistency.
