  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Sliced Italian deli meats (salami, pepperoni, ham)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Provolone cheese
  • Banana peppers (optional)
  • Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary)
  • 1 egg
  • Splash of water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish, pinching the seams together to form a solid base.
  3. Layer half of the sliced deli meats over the dough, starting with salami, then pepperoni, and finishing with ham.
  4. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella and provolone cheeses evenly over the meats.
  5. Add a layer of banana peppers, if using, and sprinkle a generous amount of Italian seasoning over the entire layer.
  6. Repeat the meat and cheese layering process with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and carefully place it over the top layer, pinching the seams together and tucking the edges down to seal the bake.
  8. Whisk the egg with a splash of water to create an egg wash. Use a pastry brush to lightly coat the top of the crescent roll dough.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese inside is bubbling.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Slice into squares and serve warm.
