  • 1 small onion, diced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon until fully browned and no pink remains. Drain excess fat if desired.
  2. If using, add diced onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  3. Pour in the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine and let simmer gently for 10 minutes, uncovered, stirring occasionally.
  4. Break the lasagna noodles into bite-sized pieces and add them directly to the pot.
