These Mint Oreo Truffles are a creamy, chocolatey, and minty no-bake treat that’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip up a festive, crowd-pleasing dessert in under an hour.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Mint Oreo Cookies (about 14.3 oz / 405 g)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz (340 g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate (baking chocolate, melting wafers, or chocolate chips with 1 tsp coconut oil)
  • 4 oz (115 g) white chocolate (optional, for drizzling or decoration)
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles or crushed mint Oreos (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place all 36 mint Oreos in a food processor or blender and pulse until you get fine crumbs. Alternatively, crush cookies in a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Add softened cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs. Blend or mix until completely combined and smooth.
  3. If desired, add a drop or two of green food coloring to the mixture and mix until evenly tinted.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Scoop out tablespoon-sized amounts and roll into balls. Place on the lined sheet.
  5. Freeze the truffle balls for 20-30 minutes, or until firm.
  6. Melt the semi-sweet or dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. If using chocolate chips, add a teaspoon of coconut oil.
  7. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Tap off excess chocolate and place back on the lined baking sheet.
  8. While the chocolate is still wet, drizzle with melted white chocolate, add sprinkles, or sprinkle with crushed mint Oreos as desired.
  9. Allow the truffles to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  10. Serve chilled or at cool room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Use room temperature cream cheese for a smooth filling. Chill truffles before dipping for easier coating. Add coconut oil to chocolate for a thinner, glossier shell. Gluten-free and dairy-free adaptations are easy—use GF cookies and vegan cream cheese/chocolate. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
