A quick and easy football charcuterie board featuring smoky gouda, savory salami roses, fresh veggies, nuts, and crunchy crackers, perfect for game day entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces smoked gouda cheese, sliced thin
  • 12 ounces thinly sliced Genoa or hard salami
  • Water crackers, multigrain crackers, and crunchy breadsticks
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Sliced cucumbers
  • Baby carrots
  • Dill pickles
  • Green and black olives
  • Roasted almonds or pecans
  • Fresh parsley or rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • Optional: small bowls of spicy mustard or honey for dipping

Instructions

  1. Slice 8 ounces of smoked gouda into thin, roughly 1/8-inch slices and set aside on a plate.
  2. Create salami roses by folding one slice of salami lengthwise, then rolling tightly from one end to form a rose shape using 2-3 slices per rose. Secure with a toothpick if needed. Make about 8-10 roses.
  3. Rinse cherry tomatoes, slice cucumbers into 1/4-inch rounds, and trim baby carrots. Pat dry to avoid excess moisture.
  4. Place roasted almonds or pecans in a small bowl or pile neatly on the board. Add dill pickles and olives in separate small bowls or clusters.
  5. Arrange gouda slices in a fan shape on one side of the board. Nestle salami roses nearby, spacing them out.
  6. Add crackers and breadsticks in piles or lines around the cheese and meat.
  7. Fill gaps with fresh veggies, olives, and nuts. Garnish with fresh parsley or rosemary sprigs.
  8. Place small bowls of mustard and honey (if using) at corners or center for easy access.
  9. Adjust any crowded spots to ensure the board looks inviting and balanced visually and for easy grabbing.

Notes

Let salami slices sit out a few minutes before rolling to prevent tearing. Avoid overcrowding the board to keep it visually appealing and easy to grab from. Store leftovers wrapped tightly in parchment or wax paper in the fridge; consume salami roses within 1-2 days. Bring to room temperature before serving.
