These Pumpkin Maple Pecan Blondies are soft, chewy, and bursting with warm spices and nutty pecans, making them the ultimate fall dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (plus extra for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it well.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup until smooth.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree, egg, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix—stop as soon as no streaks of flour remain.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped pecans, reserving a handful for sprinkling on top.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the reserved pecans over the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the blondies cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the batter. Let the blondies cool completely before slicing for clean cuts.
