Warm, buttery, and decadently sweet, these Salted Caramel Pecan Pie Bars are everything you love about pecan pie in an easy-to-make bar form. Perfect for holidays or cozy weekends, they feature a golden crust topped with gooey caramel and crunchy pecans, kissed with a hint of sea salt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (200 g) packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup (55 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups (220 g) pecan halves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (plus extra for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, softened butter, and salt. Mix until crumbly, then press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  3. While the crust bakes, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, heavy cream, melted butter, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a large bowl. Stir in the pecan halves until coated.
  4. Pour the pecan filling over the warm crust, spreading evenly. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the filling is set and bubbling.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, sprinkle extra sea salt on top for that perfect sweet-and-salty finish.
  6. Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut them into squares or rectangles. Enjoy!

Notes

Use softened butter for the crust to ensure it presses evenly. Don’t overbake the filling; it firms up as it cools. Line your pan with parchment paper for easy removal and clean cuts.
